Ensuring a LEVEL playing field and smooth experience for all innovators.

The entries can be individual-based or group-based project.

 

The entries shall revolve around research-based innovations in the following niche:

  • clinical applications including but not limited to diagnostic tools, treatment techniques and natural products.
  • educational tools including study models, digital technologies, and app-based program.
  • community-based initiatives including oral health awareness campaigns, educational posters, models, apps and prototypes, or other creative projects promoting good oral health habits.

 

Originality, scientific merit, applicability in clinical practice, sustainability, contribution to the advancement of dentistry, marketing and commercialisation potential, product prototype, obtainment of funding and publications.

 

Professional:

  • Eligibility:
    Open to practicing dentists, dental specialists, academicians, researchers, and industry professionals (local and international). The project must be led by professional who shall be responsible for the submission of the project. Variabilities of the project members are permissible.

  • Scope:
    Entries may include clinical innovations, novel treatment techniques, product prototypes, digital technologies, research findings, or community-based initiatives with proven impact.

  • Assessment Criteria:
    Originality, scientific merit, applicability in practice, sustainability, and potential contribution to the advancement of dentistry.

Young:

  • Eligibility:
    Open to undergraduate and postgraduate students in dentistry or related health sciences. Individual or group submissions are allowed. The project must be led by undergraduate or postgraduate student who shall be responsible for the submission of the project. Variabilities of the project members are permissible.

  • Scope:
    Projects may include research-based innovations, educational tools, community health initiatives, digital or app-based solutions, or creative approaches to dental challenges.

  • Assessment Criteria:
    Creativity, methodological rigor, clarity of presentation, potential for real-world application, and contribution to student learning or community benefit.
    *Marketing /commercialisation potential
Junior:

  • Eligibility:
    Open to primary and secondary school students, either as individuals or in groups. The project must be led by schoolchildren or schoolteacher who shall be responsible for the submission of the project. Variabilities of the project members are permissible.

  • Scope:
    Innovations may include oral health awareness campaigns, educational posters, models, apps, prototypes, or other creative projects promoting good oral health habits.

  • Assessment Criteria:
    Creativity, relevance to oral health, clarity of message, innovation, and potential to engage peers and the wider community.
